DJ Station is the hub of Bangkok’s gay ex-pat scene. While you can find ‘ladyboys’ all over the city, all the gay foreigners, and many of the locals congregate at Silom Soi 2.
Some sit outside, drinking beer at cafes. But DJ Station, at the end of the block, is a two-floor dance club, where the music will stop just long enough for the drag show each night.
The place is a microcosm of Bangkok, populated by all manner of people—gay and straight, Thai and foreign—where you can find anything you want, legal or covert. In 2010, DJ Station reflects an increasingly cosmopolitan and international gay culture.
