Both Sanlitun and the Worker’s Stadium area are home to literally dozens of bars that are all both welcoming and have obviously mixed crowds.  Try Kai’s and Smuggler’s in Sanlitun for Beijing’s famous $1.35 shots and mixed drinks.  Be advised that while it may be coming out of a Jose Cuervo bottle, you’re probably drinking local liquor.  But hey, when in China…
