Carlos Melia’s Favorite New NYC Hotspots!
“Hey everyone… this week I was quite busy going around the city on meeting and socializing. But in the meantime, I enjoyed and discovered a few venues, restaurants and bars that you MUST try if you are in the city and include in your itineraries if you are visiting.
First one Beauty & Essex on the lower east side. Don’t walk away when you see the front store, just go beyond the green doors and your will see. Great drinks and menu based on tapas. I loved the Oysters and the Empanadas. Great vibrant crowd.
Library located on the ground level of the new NoMad Hotel. Great living room for a quick bit, a business meeting or just to seat down relax, recharge and continue. he space is a fully curated, two-level library connected by an original spiral staircase imported from the South of France, with a mezzanine catwalk. Guests can lounge throughout the day on custom-made furnishings or at a communal mahogany table. Quiet atmosphere.
The Campbell Apartment at Grand Central Terminal, a true hidden gem of class and sophistication. We aware you must wear a collar or a t-shirt with a jacket. Very quiet, private and classy. Restored private office of early twentieth-century tycoon John W. Campbell. The room is simply striking.
Artisanal Fromagerie & Bistro great french bistro in the heart of Manhattan Park Avenue and 32nd Street. Ideal for lunches or small private events or gatherings. Try also the to go Fromagerie. My favorite dish here is the cheese quiche.
Raoul’s another great French bistro, which in the beginning I mistook as an Italian Trattoria, but no disappointment at all. Intimate, loud.. amazing drinks and service. Located on Prince Street in SOHO. Private area on the first floor for events. Try them all … and let me know your comments. Cheers and HAPPY PRIDE everyone!”
