What makes your city such a great LGBT destination? 

Miami is one of the most celebrated LGBT cities in the country. This is because the city is founded on diversity and excels in entertainment for all demographics. Miami embraces art, design, fashion, music, nightlife, culinary and all things that make life worth living and a city worth visiting.

What are some hotspots gay and lesbian travelers should check out when they are in the city?

Viceroy Miami, of course! However, if our guests want to go exploring, here are my suggestions:

Score on Lincoln and Twist on Washington – two great hot spots for good fun.

Casa Tua is a great restaurant with an eclectic menu and great wine list.

Miami Art Museum is pretty cutting edge and does a great job of representing local artisans as well.

Go out and see a show! The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts has some excellent Broadway shows, concerts and cultural events.

What are the top five reasons for gay travelers to visit?　　　　　

Reason One: The Pool scene in Miami – it’s big. Speaking of big, Viceroy Miami has the longest pool in Miami and a pool deck that’s the size of a football field. Heavenly for people watching.

Reason Two: Nightlife is a “no-brainer” in Miami. However, it’s not just South Beach anymore. Downtown has become a great place for dining. Mary Brickell Village, for instance, provides variety at all price points. Club 50 at Viceroy Miami is the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s on the hotel’s fiftieth floor and features amazing views of the city in a very cool club atmosphere. You can catch dinner in our three-meal restaurant EOS before heading up. Great wine list, sheik atmosphere in a Mediterranean theme.

Reason Three: The design district is also a must-see. Great shops and restaurants all with their own unique feel. Miami is known for cosmopolitan and the design district represents!

Reason Four: Do something different when you come to the city. Where else can you take-in an urban vibe but still pack a lunch and head to a beach ten minutes away? Go sailing in Biscayne Bay. Be natural and spend an afternoon on a nature tour in the Everglades. Everything is close here so you don’t have to stick to what’s expected when you’re visiting the “big city”

Reason Five: We have so many events during the year so there’s really something for everyone here. Even if you make Miami a stop-over when “going from Point A to Point B”, stay the night, take a later flight and enjoy the city for a second. It won’t disappoint.
