The Village People’s NEW YEARS BASH!
An exciting event is happening for all those going out to Hawaii this New Years- the Village People are coming out to the Sheraton Waikiki to bring in 2010! The Sheraton Waikiki is holding a New Years Bash, which will be fun for everyone. Dinner and drinks are included as guests boogie down to tunes from the 70’s and 80’s. The Village People are scheduled to go on stage around eleven and to get everyone pumped up to wrap up this decade. Honestly, who wouldn’t be excited to see these gay cultural superstars performing their famous hits? I’ve been to so many concerts and events where people imitate YMCA that seeing the original performers belt out that song and do that lettered dance would be out of this world! The Sheraton Waikiki is bound to be Gayhala come New Years with those costumed Macho Men performing other oldies like In the Navy. Starstruck hopefuls- BE AWARE! The Village People are checking into the Sheraton December 28th. Who knows? You might actually get to bump into these LGBT icons and maybe have a cocktail or two with them.
For those of you who haven’t been, Oahu is a great gay friendly destination. What better way to escape the cold of winter and bring in the New Year in a tropical paradise? Hawaii has everything for the gay community. For your active types: surfing those clear blue waters and hiking up Diamond Head will surely amaze. For those looking for good eats, eating some barbecued pork at a Luau and having freshly picked pineapple will dazzle your taste buds. The nightlife is definitely bumpin’ and those Polynesian guys will drive you coconuts- if you know what I mean. Oahu definitely gets two thumbs up in Gay Travel approval!
