Meet the first same-sex couple to tie the knot in Colombia now that same-sex marriage has been legalized throughout the country.

Fernando Quimbayo and José Ticora were the first to marry in the country. They said ‘I do’ at a city registrar in Cali.

Marriage equality was made legal in Colombia in April. Colombia is the fourth Latin American nation to fully embrace marriage equality. Same-sex couples have been able to wed in Argentina since 2010, and in Brazil and Uruguay since 2013.
