A heterosexual man who booked a stay at a predominantly gay hotel wrote a TripAdvisor review praising the hotel and its staff, but saying he was made to feel uncomfortable by the amount of gay people staying there.

The user, identified only as MooSmith21, wrote his review on the Hotel Neptune, which is located on the incredibly gay Gran Canaria island in Spain.

After praising the staff and the food, he wrote: “Although we knew this was an adult only hotel, I was quite shocked at the amount of gay couples that were staying at the hotel. I’m not homophobic however there was a definite feeling of them and us and the gay couple (sic) outnumbered the straight couples by two to one at least.”

He then says that because of this, he never got to enjoy the pool.

He continued: “One guy also sent a drink up to my room even though I had never spoken to him and my girlfriend was visible at all times. Bit perverted if you ask me!”

He also complained about the number of gay bars and hotels nearby.

The response on social media has been particularly colorful, with many saying that his opinion on the sexual preference of people he was staying with had no bearing in his review.
