Around 100,000 spectators attend the San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day parade & festival, but some festivities are actually held the week before. The St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Block Party takes place on actual Friday the 17th. Some will be celebrating at local Irish pubs like Taverna Aventine, Maggy McGarry’s, and The Chapel. Don’t forget to check out the live music!

4Las Vegas

What happens on St. Patrick’s Day stays in Vegas. Like every other Las Vegas celebration, St. Patrick’s Day is a large event for this west U.S. city. From events like O’Sheas BLOQ Party celebration at the LINQ to casual drinking at Hennessey’s Tavern on Fremont St, this is a must-see St. Patty’s Day extravaganza.

3. Boston

Boston has a plethora of Irish pubs in each section of town. Head out this 17th for great music, and a St. Patrick’s parade with around one million spectators to celebrate! Be sure to check out some famed pubs that give Boston’s it’s St. Patty’s Day glory like Ned Devine’s Irish Pub, The Black Rose, Mr. Dooley’s Boston Tavern, and the Green Dragon. You won’t want to miss this unique green beer experience!

2. New York

Even though the Big Apple was just hit by storm Stella, employees are working diligently to clean up the snow before the parade and festivities begin. NYC has one of the largest parade celebrations in the world with around 2 million spectators. Be sure to stop by some NYC Irish pub favorites like Molly’s Pub and Shebeen, The Wicked Monk, Sean Ogs, and The Dead Rabbit.

What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than actually going to Ireland! Take the steps of St. Patrick in an authentic walking tour. Around 675,000 spectators attend the parade. Stop by certain events to learn the culture behind leprechauns and greening the city. Try a beer at an actual Irish pub because you don’t want to miss out on this four day celebration.
