Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho |  Bangkok, Thailand  | Another must see and do highlight of Bangkok is just meters away fromthe Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew.  The gigantic figure of the Reclining Buddhaand the Temple of Wat Pho is the oldest and largest in Bangkok.

The image of the Reclining Buddha is IMPRESSIVE andgigantic. The 45 meter long statute depicts the Buddha entering Nirvana.  The statue is spectacular not only for itssize but for the mother-of-pearl details on the stoles of the feet, revealing108 auspicious sings of a genuine Buddha.

Wat Pho, located in the Rattanakosin district directlyadjacent to the Grand Palace, is known to be the birthplace of traditional Thaimassage and medicine, featuring its own center. Wat Pho is one of the largestand oldest wats in Bangkok and is home to more than one thousand Buddha images.

Since the temple was also a Thai Medicine center, thousandsof Buddha images in different yoga positions are revealed all over the temple. Youmust take some time of your buys schedule and try to relax and enjoy taking alocal Thai Massage, by one or more masseuse of the temple.

Temple of Wat Pho opens daily from 8AM till 5PM. Theentrance FEE is TBH 50 (USD1.50). I would recommend walking into Wat Pho rightafter doing the Grand Palace and before heading to Mount Golden or Wat Arun. CM
