When one city mourns, we all mourn. As travelers, we are citizens of the world, and few places on the planet are more beautiful than Nice.
This feels like the sort of blog post we’ve had to write far too often in recent months. We mourned with Paris, Istanbul, Orlando and with countless other cities around the world. The latest attack in Nice — with more than 80 dead at last count — breaks our hearts just as much.
In times like these, it seems like there are no right words. We stand by what we’ve said in the past, and what we will continue to say in the future when horrific acts of violence happen around the world. We are stronger when we stand together — as travelers, as humans, and as citizens of the world. There are few places on the planet quite so magnificent as Nice, and now — more than ever — the people of Nice need our support. Travel, tourism dollars, and a friendly face — while it might not seem like much, it’s a huge deal.
So to the people of Nice, and to travelers around the world who have been to or are planning on traveling to Nice, France in the future, we stand with you, we celebrate you, we will visit you soon and often. You are in our hearts.
