SATURDAY 29 AUGUST 2015, 1:00PM
A carnival atmosphere will fill the streets of Manchester and is set to enthrall the thousands of spectators - young and old, gay and straight, friends and family - who come down to see the glamorous and the outrageously fabulous people who take part!
This year the Parade kicks of from its usualstarting point on Liverpool Road, along Deansgate, turning right on to Peter Street, across Oxford Street, turning left on to Portland Street, right on to Princess Street then taking a left on to Whitworth Street, finishing on Fairfield Street just outside Manchester's world famous Gay Village.
The Expo provides you with the opportunity to get up-close and personal with visitors to Manchester Pride. Situated in the in-door arena this hugely popular community space gives exhibitors the chance to showcase their organisation, spend face-to face time with visitors, promote goods or services and carry out consultations.
The expo is ideal for local community groups, public sector organisations and commercial businesses, and is open over The Big Weekend from Saturday - Monday between 11:00am and 5:00pm.
MONDAY 31 AUGUST 2015, 21:15
The culmination of the Big Weekend is the George House Trust Candlelit Vigil in which Sackville Gardens is turned into a sea of flickering candles as we take a minute to remember those we’ve lost to the HIV virus and join together to fight the epidemic worldwide. The Vigil is the spiritual heart of the Manchester Pride festival and there is a truly magical and moving atmosphere of quiet reflection in the gardens.
