Park City
Park City Hotels
A gay destination in Utah? That’s right. The state’s Wasatch Mountains offer some of the best skiing in the world - powdery slopes, sunny weather and first-rate amenities - and this hamlet in north central Utah is, in the words of Out Traveler, a blue island in an otherwise red state. (Good to know: people in some parts of the state call Park City “Sin City”)
Once a bustling mining community, Gay Park City is today a tourism hub and one of Utah’s big resort areas. Park City Mountain Resorts lifts skiers right into Downtown and there are plenty of other resorts that beckon your call. Deer Valley is notably well groomed. There’s also The Canyons. And don’t miss the Utah Olympic Park and Museum. But, be warned, if you go in the winter, bring a jacket and long johns. The average high in January is just 27.
