Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise is a HEAVENLY resort locale on the Gold Coast.  During the day you can head to the beach, shop and check out theme parks and numerous attractions.  At night there’s a variety of clubs, bars and casinos to keep you thoroughly entertained.

The busiest season is during Australian summer, December-February.  During these months the streets and beaches are filed with tourists and students on summer break.

Being a popular tourist destination, there’s a plethora of lodging options and accommodations in Surfer’s Paradise.   While in town, you will … of course … want to try to surf.  If you don’t have a board, no worries, there’s a bunch of rental shops along the beach and instructional camps that can get you started.

If you are on a romantic getaway with that special someone, take a day trip to Byron Bay, just over the New South Wales border.  Head inland and go for a hike, bike ride or tour one of the nearby national parks or nature reserves.

Cavill Avenue, is one of the busiest shopping strips in Queensland and the center of activity for nightlife.  If you’re an avid sightseeing, you’ll love the iconic high-rise buildings on the beach, the best known feature of the Gold Coast skyline.
