While there is not an enormous gay scene, it’s not terribly surprising, as there aren’t a whole lot of people on the big island.  Still, numerous gay beaches and regular events arranged by gay locals mean there is always something “gay” to do.  The real draw on the Big Island, however, is definitely one’s ability to escape the crowds and get lost in the brilliant landscape.
