In conservative Orange county, there aren’t many options for gay-play, but driving just 7 miles outside of Irvine, you’ll get to the Irvine Business complex and a place called Red.

Every Sunday, the boys come out to play and nowadays, they are even featuring a fun drag show every night.

This night is particularly well suited for the young’ns as you only have to be 18 to enter and dance, but obviously over 21 to drink. There is an $8 cover and the bar is open 10pm-2am.

The decor is fabulous (think red plush couches and neon projections) and the vibe goes between super chill and borderline rave-tastic.

This place and this event is consistenly awarded titles related to best gay bar in the OC… so if you’re going gay, go Red.
