Although West Hollywood is Los Angeles' main gay area, Irvine is a little farther south and just as gay-friendly! There is tons of awesome shopping, dining, and people-watching here so you definitely won't be disappointed. UC Irvine contributes to the liberal Southern California vibe by bringing in tons of fresh meat. Plenty of arts and culture events go on year round both on campus and off, so boredom is simply isn't an option in Irvine! If all else fails, Los Angeles proper isn't too far away!
