Your Ship
This 236-foot Barquentine was built in 1932 for financier E.F. Hutton and christened HUSSAR. Later she was put into service by Columbia University sailing over 1 1/4 million miles worldwide. Evidence gathered on her voyages confirmed the theory of continental drift.

Antigua

Saba
The island shoots 800 feet straight out of the sea, girdled by a sheer wall of rock. Saba's "Stairwell" hikes are famous. One such hike scales 1,064 stone steps to the crest of Mount Scenery at 2,855 feet. |
Nevis
Almost completely circular, Nevis' green slopes rise in sweeping curves to the central and only summit. Charlestown is a well-preserved village: plantation states and eighteenth century buildings decorated with gingerbread trim tell the story of a bygone era. An interesting zoning law states that no buldings may be taller than the palm trees. We love that! |
St. Barts
St. Barts became a favorite retreat for the rich and famous in the 1980's. French food, wine, fashion and all the things imported grace the landscape. St. Barts is a quintessentially celebrity island. The world-famous Saline Beach is clothing-optional with a gay area and great bodysurfing. |
