Images you've only seen from far away, from the romantic open plains to herds of elephants beneath the inspiring beauty of snow-capped Mount Kenya. The deserts, mountains, rivers, forests and wildlife all breathe freedom under the extraordinary light and constantly changing perspective of the African sky.
 Our adventure begins in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, where you'll meet your fellow safari participants, our team leader and our expert guide and drivers. From here we will head to The Ark, the famous tree hotel located high in the Aberdare mountains. The journey continues north into the semi-desert bush country to meet the nomads of the desert - the Samburu tribe. Our home in Samburu, the Serena Lodge, is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding reserve, home to lion, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, elephant, warthog and the elusive leopard. At Sweetwaters Tented Camp, our next destination, the opportunities for wildlife viewing are plentiful and the view of Mount Kenya is magnificent. The luxurious Mt. Kenya Safari Club is our next stop and the location of the famous Stephanie Power's animal orphanage. Across the Rift Valley, a scenic flight takes us to the Masai Mara, Kenya's premier game reserve. In this northernmost extension of the Serengeti Plain, we'll view the world's greatest collection of animals from open-air 4X4 vehicles. Kichwa Tembo, our luxury tented camp, is centered in the middle of this natural spectacle. Our farewell feast is a moonlit bush dinner under the stars.
