Gay Cali is more than just WeHo and the Castro, Long Beach is an amazing LGBT destination.  There are great gay-friendly restaurants, bars and clubs and a thriving community.

Hamburger Mary’s is the place to be on Sundays.  There’s a drag brunch with Jewels of Long Beach.

The Silver Fox is a friendly gay nightclub popular with the LGBT set.  The bar hosts theme nights, videos, live-entertainment and attracts both men and women.

The Mineshaft was at one time primarily a leather bar but now caters to a more diverse crowd.  Cheap drinks and friendly bartenders make this place a hit!

Gay Long Beach is more than just great bars and clubs.  There are amazing events to attend anytime you’re in town!

In May, nearly 100,000 revelers turn out for Long Beach Pride.  There are seven large dance areas including a main stage, which features the best musical artists in the business. 

Also in May, Downtown Long Beach is transformed into a sea of pink for the Pink Party.  A DJ spins from the main stage and food and drinks are served with dancing under the stars.  A portion of the proceeds benefits the Center Long Beach’s Mentoring Youth Through Empowerment Program.

There’s an annual AIDS Walk with a 5K/10K run, Pet Walk and 5K walk. Everyone in the community is welcome to participate.
