The islands of Coronado, Carmen, Catalan, Montserrat and Danzante lie just off the coast of Loreto and offer amazing scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities. These islands offer rock reefs, seamounts and underwater caves. Off the north end of Isla Carmen there is a 120 foot sunken freighter and a twin engine plane to explore. One of the best place for scuba diving is the smaller islands of Danzante, here there is a string of vertical walls that is truly an amazing site. The water temperature in Loreto is 68 to 72 degrees year-round with 200 feet of visibility, making it one of the best places in Baja for scuba diving.
