The Shade Hotel is home to the zinc lounge, a stylish collection of low-slung wooden settees and a soaring outdoor patio.  The distinctive menu features mostly small plates, some of which are seriously substantive. For example, couple the grilled New Zealand lamb chops with the pan-fried crab cakes and you will make fast friends as your full stomach encourages you to share!

The liquids are a highlight, hand-crafted and unusual in their presentation.  One of the most popular offerings is the ‘passionate kiss,’ a hand-shaken martini of Finlandia lime vodka, Pama liquer and pomegranate juice – served in a cone of ice!
