Everyone loves Ellen. She’s smart, she’s funny and her humor doesn’t come at the expense of other people, which is rare today. She has become our first widely loved gay icon, which you can see when you watch her show; the audience is mostly full of straight Middle American housewives who just adore her. Plus she seems to love giving away really cool stuff to her studio audience.
Being part of the fun is really very easy; go to the Ellen website and from the calendar towards the bottom of the page select the date you want to attend. You can select multiple dates but only one date at a time. If your request is accepted and you’ve gotten tickets, a representative from the show will call you, if you don’t get a call, you didn’t get tickets. The tickets are booked on a first come, first serve basis.
If you didn’t get a call and are only in town for a visit, the Ellen show always has a limited number of standby tickets available same day, you can try for one of those. Just call (818) 954-5929 before noon.

Cool - great tip, Ellen is hysterical and I never thought about seeing the show - and I was just there. Sigh, next time.
