Au Pied de Cochon is a very controversial restaurant to say the least. You either love it or you hate it. Quebecois Specialites including Foie Gras, Foie Gras and more FG. Soup a l’Oignon Gratinee, Biftec, Porc, Steack! etcetera… Not very politically correct and for the more adventurous traveller. This boit is best enjoyed during the fall and winter season when the weather is frigid enough to warrant heavy helpings of Quebecois bill-of-fare prepared in modern yet rustic Francais-Canadien joie de vivre atmosphere. A grand pigout while listening to trendy Quebecois rock music and sipping a fine bordeaux or bourgogne from the extensive list. Expensive eats in a casual come as you are atmosphere with a bon appetit. You won’t regret it; ensuite, you will be able to talk about it. NB. It may have seen better days as it has become tres populaire and bien connu. N’est-c pas?
