21 May 10 - Fine Dining in New Orleans

Chef Susan Spicer offers a wide array of dishes at this New American with a distinct New Orleans character. Located in the French Quarter in a romantic Creole cottage and adjacent tropical patio, this outstanding restaurant offers many dishes with an emphasis on novel preparations of fresh ingredients in a everchanging menu with a mediterranean and Southern influence.  There is a fine wine list of domestic and imported vintages to compliment the cuisine. Beautiful desserts.  Reservations a must at this popular restaurant.  Take home the cookbook for a friend!

Love this place!  Delicious food with a New Orleans twist.  It has several Spanish elements to the dining that one might not expect, however, the name Bayona is from the name of the street… which was at one point Spanish occupied.  I found the food to be exceptional and the atmosphere very friendly, jovial, yet refined at the same time.  Great food in a more subdued feeling.  The patio looked cute, but, it was November, so we dined inside, equally as charming.
