Drag shows can get old, fast. Blasphemy amongst the gays, maybe, but what does it take to get drag queens to think fresh and do something way more entertaining?

It takes a Sweetie, and that show is Drag Off NYC. The concept is smart: bring a bunch of drag queens on stage and have them compete for audience votes for three rounds. Sweetie has dubbed it “The Interactive Musical Game Show Comedy,” and it’s like the Gong Show meets Survivor smashed into a little RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Sweetie does a hilarious hosting job, tying it all together and keeping the contestants on their toes. Each evening has a different group of three queens vying for the win, and the roster of regulars includes some pretty fantastic performers, like the one-and-only Jiggly Caliente.
Seating is cabaret-style, so bring friends, get your drink on and your Drag Off!
