The weekend is nearly over and you’ve spent it eating out with friends, barhopping looking for your next boyfriend or girlfriend, and waking up slightly hung over in the mornings. You’ve fed your body, now what about your soul?
Queer Dharma might just be the food that your soul is craving. Meeting every Sunday from 7 to 9 pm at the Shambhala Meditation Center on W 22nd St and open to anyone, it’s a great way to unwind, relax and reflect upon life and things just a bit deeper that the latest club party.
Each evening includes a meditation practice (don’t worry if you’ve never meditated before, they are more than happy to guide you on your first experience), dharma study and ends with refreshments and socializing. The people who regularly attend are relaxed, friendly and make even the most inexperienced person to Buddhism feel welcome and comfortable. Wear loose fitting clothing. A $5 donation is suggested.
