Much to our chagrin (and yours) many airlines are now starting to charge for checked luggage. The solution: pack smart! You’re allowed 2 carry-on bags, and one should contain all of your clothes; make your other bag a tote or brief that can go under the seat in front of you and contains your toiletries, laptop, and other essentials.
The standard size for your main carry-on should be 9 x 14 x 22 in/22 x 35 x 55 cm (length + width + height). You’ll also want to be aware of the weight of the bag – stay under 50lbs. Since you’re not checking a bag, stick to the 3-3-1 rule: 3 ounces, 1 quart bag, 1 per traveler. The TSA also provides some "SimpliFly" hints. If you must check a bag, make sure you still keep the weight down: all airlines charge extra for bags over 50lbs.

The astrolabe is a historical astronomical instrument used by classical astronomers, navigators, and astrologers. Its many uses included locating and predicting the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets and stars; determining local time given local longitude and vice-versa; surveying; and triangulation. In the Islamic world, they are and were used primarily for astronomical studies, though astrology was often involved there as well. Astrologers of the European nations used astrolabes to construct horoscopes.
