Located at the southern end of Palm Canyon Drive, the Moorten Botanical Gardens and Cactarium is a favorite Palm Springs attraction. This hidden gem contains beautiful desert pathways curving through hundreds of exotic desert plants—cacti, bushes, yucca and flowers—each separated into different desert regions in the Americas. Over 50 years old, this family-run garden now boasts 3,000 examples of desert cacti and other desert plants grouped by geographic regions: Arizona, Baja California, California, Colorado, the Mojave desert, the Sonora desert, South Africa, arid South America, and Texas. Even if you’re not familiar with cactus, or the desert, its beautiful; if you’re fond of the desert, it’s stunning.
