The city is the home of the global Equality Forum each year and is partly the reason for the increasingly positive attitude towards equality in Philadelphia. Pridefest America is a weeklong event each year, as well. Although Center City has a very gay friendly attitude, keep an eye open while out and about in any city is a must since there are still some areas that might not be as liberal.
