With the repeal in 2008 of a 1913 law restricting same sex marriage the state of Massachusetts has opened the doors of possible equality for the gay community by allowing us to marry. And what better setting for a marriage to the one you love than the beautiful seaside Provincetown, possibly the gayest town in America. The town clerk in Ptown makes getting a license easy although a three day wait is required between filing your intentions of marriage and receiving a license. But you can use that time to rally up the drag queen bridesmaids and dykes on bikes bridal procession from the denizens that inhabit the town. Who doesn’t love to throw a fabulous wedding? And you don’t have to be a resident of the state in order to get married here but until we get it legalized by the federal government its still one of the few states that will recognize the union.
