Spiritus has great pizza, the best pizza in Provincetown actually.  Order a whole pie or buy New York style by the slice.  With specialty pizzas and a large ice cream menu for those hot summer days this should be enough to make Spiritus the hot spot it is.  But when the bars close, the patio in front of Spiritus becomes the real reason everyone loves this place.  It’s the place to be.  It’s where everyone hangs out with old friends or tries to make new ones since this is the last chance before either hitting the Dick Dock or heading home alone.  If that hot twink or burly daddy you were cruising all night hasn’t already hooked up then he’ll be here.  Likewise for that baby dyke or femme fatale since it is not strictly men who hang out although the majority is male. In mid summer the scene here can get pretty crazed and the fun can continue on long after the bars have closed.  Not open in winter.
