The Steamworks in Berkeley is the last of the most notorious bathhouses in the SF Bay Area, and has been renovated from top to bottom (pun intended) and it is spotless and well-maintained. It’s the one place that still remains after all others were closed down in the aftermath of the AIDS crisis. Since it is the one surviving bathhouse in the SF area, the activity is quite significant—any night of the week, you can expect to find the gamut from the twink who is just coming out for the first time, to the jaded and cynical senior citizen coming for a last roar of passion. Every type of man can and will show up there, so if you are looking for a certain fantasy or fetish, chances are, there will be someone there to satisfy it.
