The famous neighborhood known to have been frequented by hippies for the past few decades provides a window into it’s history of being a politically and sexually liberal area. You would not be surprised to find it family-friendly, with a wide range of stores including family restaurants, record stores, unique clothing stores, cafes, bookstores, and many many smoke shops.

It is difficult to find parking so i suggest you park near the civic center and take a bus over to the area. Try not to stay too late after the shops close, Haight isn’t exactly Rodeo Dr. but other than that, Haight-Ashbury is definitely a great place to visit.
