Lookout! It’s the Lookout.
I used to live right up the street from the Lookout, and every time I walked by I
couldn’t help myself, but scream “Lookout!” in my head as I passed.
It’s an appropriate name for the location, right at the tri-corner of 16th, Noe and
Castro, as on warmer days you can sit out on the two balconies and look out over the
hustle and bustle of the Castro.
The bar itself is one of the Castro’s more laid-back environments, where you go to
hang out and be real with friends. There is a small dance floor packed with booming
beats on every night of the week. The bar is large, and the place is regularly packed for
happy hour and anytime the weather is sunny.
