A well-educated, politically left-of-center make-up mean there are plenty of smart, wealthy gay people milling around just about everywhere.  Most of the city’s nightlife is located downtown and the gay scene is no different.  With a mix of full-time bars and regular special promoted events, there’s plenty of opportunity to “go gay” in San Jose.
