Being gay in Santa Barbara is more about just enjoying the surroundings. There are no gay bars or clubs specifically, so most gays are simply normal people living life in one of the most charming coastal towns of California.

Nonetheless, the LGBT residents have come together to produce the Pacific Pride Festival to celebrate their lives. It doesn’t happen every year, but when it does, Pacific Pride is in July. It attracts people from all the way down in Los Angeles to come up and enjoy the laid-back lifestyle that is synonymous with Santa Barbara.

On a normal weekend, every beach is a good beach but the liveliest spot for gays is Padaro Beach. Grab a picnic, a blanket and a couple of friends and see who you might meet!
