One of the more up and coming gay areas with a progressive attitude but still embodies the friendly, caring, atmosphere of a small town. It has earned the reputation as a “gay-friendly” city even with its socially conservative interests. They started the Tucson Gay Pride Parade in 2004 and have continued to gather together a large following each year.
