GT: What makes Toronto such a great LGBT destination?

SCT: Toronto is a multicultural mosaic of people with a long history of being warm and welcome to people of all races, religions, cultures …and…sexual preferences! One of the first places in the world to legalize gay marriage. One of the best Pride celebrations in the world. First World Pride in North America coming to Toronto this summer. Lesbian premier (head of gov. in Ontario). Tolerance is king!

GT: What are some hotspots gay and lesbian travelers should check out when they are in Toronto?

SCT: Church St. Gay Village is the traditional epicenter with lots of bars and restaurants, but Queen West (The Hoxton) is growing with bars, clubs for the younger, hipster gays and Queen East (Wayla Bar) has options for the 30 – 50 year olds.

GT: What are the top five reasons for gay travelers to visit Toronto?

Reason One: Tolerance – one of the most gay friendly cities in the world

Reason Two: Great bars and restaurants gay and straight alike!

Reason Three: Easy to get too. We are within a two hour flight from Montreal, NYC, Chicago, Boston, Philly, DC

Reason Four: Vibrant and alive downtown core…unlike many cities…you can walk (or subway/streetcar) everywhere...shopping, eating, clubbing, sightseeing is all downtown!

Reason Five: Canadians are good looking!!!

GT: Tell our readers why they should visit Toronto and more specifically, Sheraton Centre.

SCT: Sheraton Centre is located right in the middle of the city on Queen St so whether you go West or East, you are fine We are connected to shopping, the underground PATH (making hot summers or cold winters a non-issue) and close to the village. And again our property was founding member of Gay Travel Canada and is extremely active in the community through Pride at Work. Check out packages for World Pride through Rainbow vacations.

GT: Why should gay travelers book at your property instead of other properties in the area?

SCT: Amazing gym – best in the city, great outdoor pool….that in summer has full patio and is an oasis in the city. And…if they choose to get married …we are right across the street from City Hall.
