May is going to be a huge month for Conchita Wurst. Since winning the Eurovision song contest in 2014, the pop singer/drag queen has been the toast of Europe, collecting a smash hit single with the winning song, “Rise like a Phoenix,” and becoming a near instant media sensation.

On the eve of the release of Conchita’s self-titled debut album on May 15, the toast of Austria took some time out of her busy schedule to take us on a tour of her favorite spots throughout Vienna.

Always poised and obviously passionate about the biggest city in her home country, Conchita’s favorite spots paint a vibrant picture of Vienna.

We start at the Motto am Fluss" one of the many café-restaurants on the Danube Canal in the city center, which also functions as a mooring point for the Twin City Liner express boat that plies the river between Vienna and Bratislava.

The Song Contest winner presents morbid, timeless beauty in the Imperial Burial Vault with its magnificent sarcophagi. In the nearby Vienna State Opera ,one of the world's leading opera houses, Conchita takes a look inside a rehearsal room, where the virtuoso Vienna State Ballet is currently rehearsing.

And the music diva ends her walk through Vienna in the Cuban Mojito Bar, a Cuban-style cocktail bar. It's an ideal place for the Song Contest winner to fill up on the energy she'll need for her performance at this year's ESC.

All the world may be a stage for Conchita, but from this insider’s look at Austria’s capital, one thing is clear – there’s no stage she’s rather sing on than the streets of Vienna.
