We woke up this morning with a sense of sadness, knowing that today was our last full day of our honeymoon at the beautiful Curacao Marriott Beach Resort. We wanted to spend every minute playing in the Caribbean sun and soaking in the breathtaking views that made our honeymoon a once in a lifetime memory. Before heading to the beach we made a point to have our last breakfast with Rudsel, and before we left we exchanged contact info and got a couple pictures with our new island friend.

After breakfast we headed straight to the beach, where we reminisced about the last 6 days of our amazing trip, laughed about all our fun little adventures, and overindulged on the amazing views because we knew today was our last to take them in. Sure enough, the sun started to sink into the ocean and Lacey and I grabbed two glasses and a bottle of champagne to toast to the last Caribbean sunset of our amazing trip.

For our last meal on the island we headed to Fort Nassau in Willemstad with a couple we met at the resort. The restaurant within fortress walls served a variety of International dishes with a Caribbean touch and an extensive wine list. Fort Nassau offered unique views of the entire island which made our dinner an unforgettable experience. We sat and talked for hours while enjoying the breeze off the bay and several bottles of wine. Thirty minutes after last call we made our exit and headed back to the resort to say our goodbyes and pack for our dreaded departure in the morning.

Our stay at Curacao Marriott Beach Resort and Emerald Casino was perfect in every way. We were able to stroll on the beach hand-in-hand as newlyweds with the warm sand between our toes and the fiery Caribbean sun slowly sinking into the horizon. The resort was fun, relaxing, and romantic, and the Marriott staff was beyond pleasant and accommodating. We will definitely miss the smiling faces, hot sun, and tropical cocktails, among many other things we grew accustom to the week of our stay. We look forward to our next stay with Curacao Marriott Beach Resort and Emerald Casino!

xoxo,

Audra and Lacey
