Thinking about taking a trip to the New England states? If you’re one who loves a winter wonderland, we suggest a visit to one of our favorite ski destinations: Stowe, Vermont!

Stowe is an eclectic village nestled between the majestic Mt. Mansfield and peaks of the Green Mountains. You’ll enjoy endless activities in a thriving arts community during any season--take a guided hike or visit a microbrewery during the spring; zip line across the lush forests during the summer; explore the colorful foliage with a bike ride in the fall; or plan your trip in January or February when the ski season is in full swing. Stowe gets over 300 inches of snow per year and the Stowe Mountain Resort features over 39 miles of skiing terrain across 116 trails.

When you go, we recommend staying at the Grey Fox Inn or Stowe Mountain Lodge--two gay friendly hotels that will make your visit worthwhile. The Grey Fox Inn is made up of three buildings: the Main Inn with 15 rooms, the Mountain View building with 18 rooms, and the Cottage House which has two apartments that were recently renovated for extended stays. The Stowe Mountain Lodge is a luxury resort with over 300 rooms, ranging from large suites with fully equipped kitchens, to quaint studios. Each room is designed to feel like it’s truly part of the mountain.

Whether you stay for a weekend or a week, add Stowe, Vermont to your list! You will not be disappointed.
