On Thursday, a Qantas superjumbo jet made an emergency landing in Singapore following an engine blow out. Four hundred fifty nine people were onboard.Officials say it’s the most serious mid-air incident involving an Airbus 380 jet. In response, Qantas grounded the entire fleet.Passengers onboard say they heard an explosion before the landing, though Qantas says there wasn’t a blast.After the landing, investigators found burn marks on the left wing of the aircraft and noticed a missing plate where the red kangaroo logo normally appears.It took more than an hour for the plane to be grounded, but passengers questioned after the landing said there was no panic onboard.A spokesperson for Qantas said there were no reported injuries and that an “engine issue” caused the emergency landing.
