Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen
Protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher. You’ll be outside with the summer sun glaring down on you for most of the day, so sunscreen is a must.
Water
Pride celebrations may be some of the best fun you’ll have all year. In between the singing, dancing and possible debauching, you should drink plenty of water. Hydrating will keep you healthy and happy while you get your Pride on.
Comfy Shoes
There will be no shortage of outrageous footwear at Pride. You may be planning on rocking a pair of sequined stilettos, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also plan for comfort by packing some comfy shoes. That way, you’ll have a back-up pair of kicks for when your feet need some sweet relief.
Backpack or Fanny Pack
You’ll need a bag to tote your essentials around in, but it’s up to you which style works best for you. Keep in mind that you may pick up a lot of freebies or souvenirs during the celebration, so allot some spare room in your bag for your Pride booty.
Your Pride
Just as important as your sunblock and your water is your sense of pride, so prepare to be loud and proud as you join in honoring the LGBTQ experience with your friends and allies.
