Young male Lion at Khwai River in Botswana  | Kwhai River, Botswana  |  Yes ladies and gentleman, today we officiallycan say that we’ve seen all animals one would expect to see when go toAfrica.  Well to be 100% honest, we arestill missing the Cheetah, but hey still 10 more days to come.  Anyhow today during our afternoon safari atKhwai River Lodge by Orient Express, we had the honor and pleasure to enjoy thecompany of a young male lion.

It can be one of the sweetest, most tender but at the sametime intimidating experience of your life, knowing that in one second he willliterally snap your head off.  The picturesspeak for themselves right.  He was therejust a few meters away, rolling on his back, falling sleep and waiting for usto leave him alone to continue with his afternoon nap.

Although, to be100% fair, last week while at Lion Sand Private Game Reserve in Kruger Park, wesaw and got very close to a group of 18 lions (13 females and 5 young calves) …more to come CM
