Vienna celebrates EuroPride June 1-16, 2019
EuroPride will be held in Vienna for the second time since 2001 and more than one million gay travelers are expected to attend! For two weeks, information, discussions, cultural events and parties will make Vienna the center of the European LGBT community.
A Pride Village on City Hall Square becomes the center of the EuroPride community. Live performances and DJs will provide a fun atmosphere each day and the highlight of the celebrations will be the Rainbow Parade, which, as usual, will roar loudly along the world's most beautiful boulevard, the Ringstrasse, on June 15, 2019. Walking along the Ringstrasse, with hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world is a unique experience that you will surely remember for a lifetime!
While the daytime is filled with art, culture, music, excellent food and exquisite wine, Vienna’s flourishing LGBT scene lights up the night. Vienna has everything your heart desires: cozy cafés, stylish bars and cool parties in extraordinary locations. How many people can say that they have danced through the night in a former slaughterhouse or an Art Nouveau pavilion designed by Otto Wagner? It’s all possible in Vienna.
Marriage for all!
Visitors coming to Vienna for EuroPride in 2019 can also get married!. As of 2019, marriage is legal for everyone throughout Austria. And there’s no place more beautiful for LGBT's to tie the knot than in Vienna. Couples can step up to the registrar and exchange rings at spectacular venues such as Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace or the Giant Ferris Wheel. There are (almost) no limits to the opportunities offered to wedding planners and couples in Vienna. And if you’re already spending the best day of your life in Vienna, you should also start your honeymoon there. After all, no place is more romantic than Vienna.
