Event Date: Aug 04, 2018 - Aug 12, 2018

From 4 to 12 August 2018, Paris will host the 10th edition of the Gay Games: a unique sporting and festive event in France. The first Gay Games were held in 1982 in the United States. They are open to all competitors, professionals or keen amateurs, and advocate respect, solidarity and equality. In total, 15,000 participants are expected to celebrate diversity around 36 different sports. Discover all the info, tips and suggestions to make this sporting event an unforgettable festive occasion.

The Gay Games celebrate diversity. Like the Olympic Games, they are held every four years. The Games welcome all competitors, with no discrimination of any kind, be it gender, age, religion, colour or sexualorientation. The Gay Games are, above all, a festive event and a convivial experience, with a host of sporting and cultural events taking place throughout the host city. After Vancouver, New York, Sydney, Amsterdam and Cologne, it is Paris’s turn to host this truly unique sporting competition!

Paris and its environs will be hosting all kinds of events, not just in some of the French capital’s most iconic locations (the Arènes de Lutèce, Hôtel de Ville, the Cinémathèque française, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Jean Bouin stadium and Bassin de la Villette), but also in the bandstands in parks and gardens; on the streets, and along the quays: there’ll be events throughout Paris!

This edition of the Games will include 14 sport-themed cultural events to experience and tell other people about. There will be talks, exhibitions, guided tours, shows, ballets and more, all of them showcasing the diversity that makes Gay Games so unmissable: an event that welcomes absolutely everyone, whether you’re competing or simply watching.
