Overview

Event Date: Jun 29, 2018 - Jun 30, 2018

For 41 years, thousands of people have paraded through the streets of Paris every year on the occasion of the Marche des Fiertés LGBT, formerly known as the 'Gay Pride'.

This event is a festive and fun occasion and aims to defend equal rights, reject discrimination and support the right for everyone to live the way they wish. The parade is organized by hundreds of volunteers, and contributes to the progress of equal rights.

The festivities begin early in the afternoon, with numerous associations spread over some fifty or so floats for a parade lasting around 4 hours, along a designated route.

The meeting time and point is at 2pm on Place de la Concorde, near to the Assemblée Nationale. The parade route then winds its way through the historic heart of Paris, passing in front of the Musée du Louvre, turning along Rue de Rivoli to Boulevard Sébastopol then through the central district of Châtelet-les-Halles. After travelling along Boulevard Saint-Martin, it will reach Place de la République around 5pm where there will be concerts and the grand podium until 10pm.
