Your escape from the ordinary begins right here in their nine guest room Bed & Breakfast, in the heart of the quintessential New England town of Stowe, Vermont. Now gay-owned and operated, the Brass Lantern Inn began as a modest farmhouse with a separate carriage house and expansive farm. In 1988, it was transformed into this amazing property and today, they are privileged to continue this tradition of quality lodging in the village of Stowe. They provide a charming bed and breakfast surrounded by the ambiance of the expansive Vermont countryside. 

Rooms & Suites

Each guest room has a special character as the inn feels like a warm family home with your own well-appointed, private space. Most of their guest rooms provide grand and open views of the Green Mountains, gas-fired fireplaces, Roku TVs with guest access, silky smooth beds, whirlpool tubs, and plenty of space to feel at home.

Mt. Mansfield - This exceptional room is the largest in the inn and has the most commanding view of Mt. Mansfield and the Sterling Mountain Range.

Madonna Peak - Wake to the sight of Mt. Mansfield and the Green Mountains of Vermont from the comfort of your silky smooth bed through your large picture window.

Mt. Clark - A wall of glass looking out over the backyard gardens affords you with an exceptional view of Mt. Mansfield and surrounding mountains.

Sterling Mountain - Quietly tucked away on the second floor, this room provides plenty of space to spread out and retreat to your own personal space with gas fired Vermont Parlor Stove.

Spruce Peak - Your room here benefits from its location on the second level with windows lining three sides of the room. Warm daylight fills this room from morning through evening.

The Pinnacle - Located midway within the inn on the second floor, this room has two windows providing wide-angle views out onto Mt. Mansfield and the adjacent Green Mountains.

Dewey Mountain - If you need a large room with two queen size beds, this room is especially suited for your needs. Combine this with the Mt. Mansfield Room across the private hall for a full suite experience.

Sugarloaf Mountain - With an expansive view of Mt. Mansfield and the Sterling Range, this room is one of the most reserved rooms in the inn and perfectly sized as an intimate couples retreat.

Roundtop Mountain - In this room, receive all of the amenities of the inn and silky smooth bed linens, Gilchrest and Soames toiletries, full Vermont Fresh Breakfast each day, and access to all other common area amenities.

Your stay at the Brass Lantern Inn includes not only a warm, friendly welcome, afternoon snack, and a peaceful retreat into your distinctive guest room but also includes their complimentary, highly acclaimed breakfast. Experience your first meal of the day with the stunning backdrop of Mt. Mansfield and start with a course of fresh fruit, parfait, or baked apple along with a full selection of juices, teas, and coffee. Brewed coffee is available starting at 7 am, along with their 24-hour access to fresh ground and pod coffee, tea, and cocoa for the early risers. Breakfast is served from 8 to 9:30 am.

Set on an acre and a half of outdoor space with spectacular views of Mt. Mansfield, The Brass Lantern Inn is carefully managed to provide all of the comforts of today within the unique character of their historic brick farmhouse. Their common areas include a living room with a crackling fire in the wood-burning stove, a bright breakfast room with individual tables, and a game room where couples/families gather around and play Scrabble, Battleship, and Chess. 

Outdoors, guests enjoy having lunch or tea on the patio, taking a book out onto the back porch, relaxing in their outdoor hot tub, or watching the sun slip away behind Mt. Mansfield.
