Gay Friendly Meadowood Napa Valley
Settled among two-hundred-fifty private acres, the estate’s timeless architecture, sporting activities, restorative spa services and Michelin Three-Star and James Beard Award winning dining enhance and elevate time spent in this preeminent winegrowing region.
In 1979, H. William Harlan was searching for land on which to create a wine estate when he was introduced to Meadowood. The property wasn't ideally suited to grape growing, but Mr. Harlan was intrigued and called his partners to share the news of the hidden gem. Within forty-eight hours the partners owned the estate and began planning its future not only as a gathering place for the burgeoning local winegrowing community, but as an upscale resort in Napa Valley that would become a luxury destination for discerning travelers from around the world seeking an authentically Napa Valley experience.

A healthy stay – your way – in Wine Country. Meadowood has once again partnered with Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma to create the ultimate four-night wellness getaway, taking advantage of the best healthy offerings at both properties: Relax. Detox. Energize. Since “wellness” is not one-size-fits-all, three different versions of the package were created for guests to choose from: Relax, Detox and Energize.
All versions of the offering include: two nights at Farmhouse Inn in a King Deluxe room; two nights at Meadowood in either an Oakview, Hillside Terrace or Treeline Suite; daily breakfasts; two massages at each property; wellness activities with a pre-arrival consult and welcome amenities.
- Wine & Wellness Retreat
Wellness is about balance and learning how to enjoy the finer things in life while staying healthy.
Learn about biodynamic and organic wines while you enjoy the beautiful outdoor activities of Meadowood, enjoy the spa, fitness classes, nutritional coaching, and cooking classes. Offered in three- and five-day packages, the Meadowood Spa and Fitness team has partnered with local organic and biodynamic wineries in the Napa Valley to offer guests a health-conscious retreat that incorporates wine tasting on a unique level.

A Michelin Three-Star Dining Experience
A modern American restaurant, The Restaurant at Meadowood speaks to, and positively impacts, the Napa Valley community. What excites us most is the concept of curation: the forging of relationships with artisans, growers, foragers and other members of this dynamic Napa Valley community. We hope their stories can meld with ours; that we can be caretakers of this collective vision—sharing it with our guests in a manner at once personal and celebratory.
