Lowcountry Excursions & Activities
At the southern luxury resort, guests can enjoy an array of Lowcountry adventure eco-excursions from a guided kayaking tour discussing the island’s deep history to journeying through the area’s massive live oaks via Zip Line. The waters surrounding Hilton Head Island are home year-round to a large and active population of wild Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin so guests can explore the back waters and magical remote islands to encounter dolphins. This tour is scheduled around optimal tides for access to remote and undeveloped locations that make the Lowcountry unique.
A unique characteristic is that at all times the beach’s flats become a local’s riding hot spot due to hard packed sand. At the beachfront property guests can rent bikes or the new phenomenon, an ElliptiGo, where they can bike on the beach. Year round, the sand is dotted with explorers (and dogs) searching for clams, fish and shells via the resort’s bikes or ElliptiGo’s.
Guests can also tour The Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge via bike, which is a 4,053-acre refuge where they can check out the local wildlife from alligators and turtles to white-tailed deer and Nine-banded armadillos to the ever-popular bottlenose dolphin.
